A Typical Day in Mazatlan

We were out and about a little earlier than usual this morning....which was nice, since the day seemed to be warming up more quickly than usual; marched over to Condominio La Ventana, where we rendezvoused with Kathy and Lonnie.  The new path today took us on a four mile trek back through the new development; less traffic and more level pavement, and NO WATER!  :-O
We quickly revived soon after we reached the local Breakfast Oasis - Rico's, and downed several glasses of agua;  ordered Chocolate Waffles, French Toast, Eggs & Waffles and Tri-color Chicken Crepe with Sweet Pepper Salsa.

From Rico's, we  took our lives in our hands and skittered crossed the street, playing "chicken" with the vehicles hurling down upon us.  From there, we headed back to our respective condominios. Bonnie implemented stage TWO of the Rehydration/Heat Stroke Intervention Plan with a dip in the unheated (except by the Sol) swimming pool; back upstairs for a quick nap before Naomi arrived to give Bon a HEAVENLY "in-house" massage.

Plastic Art Exhibit at Museo Angela Peralta

Deadly Beauty .
Words escaped me as we viewed this thought-provoking exhibit.
I left the museum stunned....

Tasty Treats and Old Town Adventures!

This is the panoramic view from the Dunham's veranda at La Ventana Condominium.  Their location is on the beach, unlike ours, which is right behind the yacht harbor

The food in Mazatlán provides all kinds of culinary adventures!
We look forward to bussing into Old Town early tomorrow morning to the Zargoza Square market...  Pastry and coffee; produce; Heather's Pies; GREAT people-watching!

Oh, and then there is Plazuela Machado - and the Mango Margaritas!
The Calavans and the Taylors quenched their thirst after shopping for fresh(?) shrimp from the "Changeras".  We strolled along the street, looking for the prettiest shrimp and then negotiated for the best price.  The "Shrimp Ladies" drive a hard bargain, but Larry is pretty good at getting a fair price.

Fun, Food & Fiesta

A sampling of Mexican Cuisine!

The Yacht Harbor at Sunset
Evening "God Sky"
Here is the view of a couple of sunsets from our veranda!
Every evening brings another breathtaking version of  glorious color against the sky and often, reflection against the clouds!

Isn't she lovely?!  Escorted by her admirers!
Plazuela Machado - Quinciniera Beauty!

When a young lady turns 15, she is treated to a celebration that rivals her future wedding.
There is an abundance of food, music, dancing and merry-making.
We understand during the ceremony, her father slips on her first pair of high heeled shoes and she is magically and instantly transformed from a little girl to a young woman.

Guapo Esposo!

Happy o be back in Maz!
